Meet Richard Snoby
A Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Snoby has over 40 years of experience in mineral processing and the recovery of valuable resources from recycled waste. His primary area of expertise is jigging technology, and he holds patented advances in both wet and dry jigging equipment.
Mr. Snoby is currently Director of Business Development for Snoby Separation Systems, LLC, which is a narrowly focused company specializing in the manufacture of proprietary equipment based on the concentration of material due to differences in specific gravity. Snoby is also President of Stichweh, LLC a joint venture company with SMT Stichweh GmbH of Thueste, Germany. Stichweh offers unique dewatering and mining equipment. Mr. Snoby is a manager and technical advisor to multiple other companies which sell and lease plants incorporating wet and dry jigs primarily focused on recovery of metal and minerals and plastic.
He has also authored numerous technical papers on mineral and recycle material processing, including a chapter titled “Cleaning Coal with Jigs” in the Coal Preparation Handbook (published by the Coal Preparation Society of America) and is a member of various technical engineering societies. He has also presented numerous papers, including technical presentations on air and wet jigging at international conferences in New Delhi, Beijing, Aachen and Istanbul.
